Because of the times…

Of course it is just barely fall, but I already have an idea of what my favorite album of the year will be. If you have not yet heard the latest Kings of Leon masterpiece I suggest you open your favored music program and download it (or be a champ and buy that shit). It is well worth the effort/money.

On that note… “Fans”(mp3) is my favorite track of the moment.

Upon listening to the first half of the album a couple times I wasn’t all that impressed. Songs like “On Call” and “Knocked Up” were automatic standouts and many of the others were catchy, but had a few “what were you thinking” parts that turned me off to listening to them again. Of course I hadn’t given the whole album a chance (and Chris had told me that the last half was better) so I downloaded the rest of the CD and listened to it repeatedly. I ended up falling more and more in love with it each time I listened.

So be sure to give “Because of the Times” a chance, even if at first you are cringing through a couple of the songs (Charmer, Ragoo), they will grow on you. These boys clearly know what they’re doing.
