spring holiday, pt. 4

April 18, 2012

last day on naoshima we took the bus to honmura port to see the art house project. the project consists of seven sites: five restored houses, a temple and a shrine. we were able to find five of the seven sites before the rain and wind started. soaked and windblown, we hopped a bus to the port. our ferry to takamatsu was cancelled because of rough waters, so we waited in the station in hopes of the weather clearing. six hours, two meals and a few hundred rounds of cribbage later, we were able to take a ferry back to uno. from there we took a train to okayama and slept.

the next morning we took the train to kobe and spent the day exploring the city. ate lunch in chinatown, wandered around the commercial districts and then took the last train back to gifu. or rather, back to ogaki…
